Plain polyester at 235 grams to the metre is the cloth to choose for khaki trousers when the trousers have to look the same at six in the evening as they did at eight in the morning. It holds no crease and takes no water, and the khaki is a warm, even tone.
Flat front, no pressed crease. A 4 cm waistband closes on a hook with no extension, the front pockets are slanted at 2.5 cm, and the back pockets are welted and left plain. Uniform trousers in the best sense. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
