The safari jacket, four ways

Safari edition hero

The safari jacket is a hybrid, and that is its whole appeal. It has the button front pocket detail and the structured, shirt like collar of something casual, cut with the shoulders of something tailored. It layers over a button up or a popover, and it goes over a t-shirt or a polo without looking like a compromise.

We have predesigned a range in four cloths, and the cloth is what decides which one you want.

Cream, for movement

The cream version is built around functionality and durability. The fabric blend carries a significant amount of stretch, so it is comfortable to wear for a long day and lets you move properly. That is why it has ended up being the one people buy for everyday wear rather than for occasions.

Green wool, linen and silk, for travelling

If you are on the go or heading overseas, this is the one. The wool, linen and silk blend is crease resistant and recovers well from being folded, which matters enormously when the jacket has spent nine hours in a suitcase. It comes out of the bag wearable.

Blue wool, linen and silk, for everything

Same blend logic, different colour, and worth explaining because the three fibres are each doing a specific job. Wool insulates, silk brings the drape and the softness, and linen carries the breathability. Together they make a cloth with visible texture that still breathes. Wear it with a popover for smart casual and it is finished.

The shirt jacket is the most casual of the four and the most used. A white t-shirt and sneakers underneath is the obvious combination. A popover takes it up a level. The blend adds texture while staying lightweight, so it works in weather where a real jacket would be too much.
