88 Pitt Street, Redfern
The studio is a sandstone terrace with iron lace along the verandah and the 88 beside the door. Inside are two fireplaces, the cloth library and a fitting mirror by the sash window. Every visit is booked, so you have the place to yourself.
Redfern station is a short walk away. If you are driving, street parking is easy on Pitt Street and the streets around it.

What happens when you come in

MEASURED IN PERSON
A stylist takes your measurements. A studio consultation runs about 50 minutes, which leaves time to talk about what the suit is for and how you like it to sit.

CHOOSING THE CLOTH
You sit with a stylist and go through the cloth books, a swatch in your hand and daylight from the sash windows on it.

THE DETAILS
Cut, lapel, lining, buttons and trouser finish are settled at the table. Bring photos if you have something in mind.

MADE AND FITTED
Production takes about six weeks. Your suit then comes back to Redfern for its fitting.
If the fit is wrong, we put it right
If something we made doesn't fit as it should, we fix it at our cost. We choose the remedy, in this order: a remake, an adjustment by us, or alterations by a local tailor, agreed with us first and reimbursed up to A$100 a garment. Tell us within seven days of delivery, or at your pickup appointment.
From the fabric houses
We work directly with European fabric houses, among them Loro Piana, Vitale Barberis Canonico, Ariston and Marling & Evans. Most of the library is wool, with linen blends for summer and tuxedo cloth for black tie.
The library is online too, if you would like to look before your appointment.
Grooms and wedding parties
Grooms, groomsmen and fathers can all be measured in the same session. Book the wedding consultation, or the large-group appointment for a bigger party. A wedding party of six takes more coordinating than one suit, so come in earlier than feels necessary.
Next time, order from anywhere
