Moleskin is cotton woven dense and then sheared, which leaves a matte, brushed face closer to suede than to twill. In off-white the nap warms the colour, so the trousers read soft rather than stark, and pale legwear becomes workable in the cooler months. Stretch through the weave keeps a dense cloth easy to move in. Cut to your measurements; dark knitwear above is the obvious move.

Fabric & care
Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
