Navy trousers in a yarn-dyed cotton, 206 g/m², which is on the light side for a trouser cloth and suits the warmer months. The navy is dark, and sits easily with tan and olive.
A cut with a practical streak: slanted patch pockets with rounded corners at the front, double-topstitched, and back pockets under pointed flaps that button shut underneath. The front is flat and left without a pressed crease, the waistband closes on a hook with no extension, the side seams are lapped and double-topstitched, and the hem is fixed with a 2.5 cm topstitch. Unlined. Wear them with a white shirt or a grey knit. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
