Den Vi is one of the small houses in our cloth library, the part of the shelf that changes rather than the part that stays. We do not carry it for the name on the selvedge. We carry it because every so often the right answer to a commission is a length of cloth nobody else is holding.

The selection we hold from Den Vi is small and it moves. Lengths are cut and replaced, and what was on the shelf last season may not be there next. If a cloth catches your eye at a fitting, the honest advice is to commit.

We will not dress Den Vi up with a history it does not need. No founding year, no story about a river valley or a great grandfather at a loom. The test is the same one every house on our shelf faces: we keep only what we would happily cut for ourselves. Ask what is in the current book when you visit.
