Biella worsteds with a dry, crisp hand

Guabello has woven wool in Biella since 1815, which makes it one of the older names in the Italian wool trade. The house buys merino at the fine end of the market, much of it Australian, and turns it into worsteds with a dry, crisp hand that tailors like working with.

The book runs from classic suitings through to jacketing with more texture and pattern. It is cloth built for cutting: stable in the length, honest in the finish, and consistent from one bolt to the next.

Three garments in our range are cut from Guabello cloth — the Waterloo Brown Suit, the Patission Espresso Houndstooth Sport Jacket and the Monarch Mill Checkered Jacket — all on the textured, casual side of the book.
