Red is a rare colour in a trouser, and this one is tempered by a check that breaks the field up, on a stretch nylon at 174 grams to the metre. Light and quick-drying, with the give of a technical cloth. Worn with navy, white or grey up top, the red does the talking and nothing else needs to.
Built along the lines of a jean: square front pockets, plain back pockets, a regular waist with wide belt loops and a button closure with no extension. Trousers for a holiday or a summer weekend, not a boardroom. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
