Every great suit begins with a conversation. For these seven stars, the design process started with an in-depth consultation to uncover their personal style, preferences, and the image they wanted to project on this high-profile night. In the world of high fashion, especially in Australia, customisation is key. It’s not just about fitting into a mold—it’s about breaking it, or better yet, redefining it.
Rebecca embarked on this journey with a clear goal: to create ensembles that not only looked impeccable but also reflected the individuality of each wearer. Whether it was a modern take on a classic tuxedo, a bold exploration of colour and texture, or a nod to vintage flair, each suit was meticulously tailored to embody the identity of its wearer.
Comfort meets Couture
In an era where style often comes at the expense of comfort, the challenge was to strike a perfect balance. Australian high fashion has long been celebrated for its ability to blend sophistication with a laid-back, effortless vibe, and this ethos was at the forefront of the design process.
The suits were crafted from the finest fabrics—think Italian silks, Australian merino wool, and velvets that feel like a second skin. But it wasn’t just about the material. Every cut, every seam was designed to ensure that the suits allowed freedom of movement, essential for a night filled with sitting, standing, and endless photo ops.
Custom inner linings featuring personalised motifs, breathable fabrics for Australia’s unpredictable weather, and adjustable elements were just some of the innovations introduced to ensure that comfort wasn’t sacrificed for style.
More than Just Trends
When asked to style looks for some of the top male talent in Australia for the 2024 LOGIES, Rebecca wanted to infuse colour and personality.
Following on from the trends noted at US and European Red Carpet events, menswear has become increasingly more playful and bold, renouncing the typical norms of black tie and giving the wearer an opportunity to not only stand out, but above all be comfortable.
This is the beauty of custom design, not only a garment that fits to perfection and feels incredibly comfortable to wear, but the collaboration helps inject the clothes with authenticity. From flattering colours and cuts to enhance their features, to vibrant custom linings, each outfit was 100% a reflection of each guy.
And, of course, couldn’t help but bring some of our cheeky Aussie charm to the occasion with undone shirts, relaxed fits, and funky accessories. I think you’ll find a lot of fun with this year’s LOGIES Red Carpet X THDR partnership, and we are delighted to bring it!
