Grey Heavyweight Wool Trousers

Grey flannel in wool with 10% cashmere and 10% silk, 380 grams to the metre. The cashmere softens the hand, the silk lends the brushed surface a little life, and the weight makes these winter trousers. The grey sits on the darker side of mid grey, short of charcoal.

Two pleats each side, 4.4 cm deep; the outer one, toward the side seam, is left unpressed so it falls soft rather than sharp. The leg is relaxed and finishes in a 5.1 cm turn-up, with a tape sewn right round the inside of the hem to take the wear from the heel. Wide 3.2 cm belt loops are fixed at the lower edge of the waistband, and the waistband lining is finished by hand. The fly is straight, the front is lined, and the back pockets are besom with a button. Grey flannel goes with navy, brown and a white shirt. Cut to your measurements.
