Small-batch cloth collections from Italian and British mills

Officine Paladino is one of the youngest names in our cloth library, founded in 2017 by two fabric merchants who watched dandyism coming back and decided the trade needed a book to match. The collections read more like a designer's sketchbook than a mill's archive, which is exactly why we keep them on the shelf.

The label designs rather than weaves. Each collection is developed in small batches at fine mills in Italy and the United Kingdom, in natural fibre, with the Paladino team working alongside the weavers on everything from spinning through to finishing. Some cloths carry quiet technical work as well: natural stretch, resistance to water and creasing, qualities you only notice once you have lived in the garment for a while.

Because the batches are small, the book changes. A length you admire at one fitting may be gone by the next, replaced by something equally particular. We think that is a feature. It keeps the choosing honest.
