The Arles Blue Cotton-Blend Corduroy Cargo Trousers

Blue corduroy in cotton with 2% spandex, 310 to 320 grams to the metre: a heavyweight cord for the cooler months, with a little give in it. The colour is a deep blue, and the wale gives the leg its texture. The pile crushes easily, so there may be some marking where the waistband is sewn.

The 4 cm waistband is elasticated, with a drawstring at the front, and closes on a button with no extension; there are no belt loops, and the inside is finished with lining piping. The front is flat, with 3.2 cm slanted pockets and a besom watch pocket on the right. Each leg carries a cargo pocket with a single pleat and a buttoned flap. At the back, double besom pockets carry a diamond flap and close with a tab and button. The side seams are lapped and double topstitched, the trousers are unlined, and the hem is a plain 5 cm. Wear them with a heavy knit or an oxford shirt. Cut to your measurements.
