Grey striped wool trousers at 310 grams to the metre with one deep box pleat at the centre of each front, 4.4 cm. The stripe is a fine chalk line that lengthens the leg, and the box pleat gives ease through the thigh while keeping the front symmetrical.
An extended waistband closes on a button with no further extension. Two open back pockets. A trouser for the days a striped suit is too much and a plain grey trouser too little. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
