Den Vi

A small house on the changing part of our shelf

Den Vi is one of the small houses in our cloth library, on the part of the shelf that changes rather than the part that stays. We carry it because, every so often, the right answer to a commission is a length of cloth nobody else is holding, and that matters more to us than the name on the selvedge.

Our Den Vi selection is small, and it moves. Lengths are cut and replaced, and what sat on the shelf last season may be gone by the next. If one catches your eye at a fitting, our advice is to claim it.

We will not dress Den Vi in a history it has not told us. It answers to the same test as every house on our shelf: we keep only cloth we would gladly cut for ourselves. Ask about it when you next visit.

The current book is best seen in person, laid over a shoulder in daylight.
