Terio

A changing selection of lengths from our cloth library

Terio is one of the quieter names in our cloth library. It comes to us without a published history, and we would rather say so than invent one. The house appears in our range as a changing selection of lengths, renewed as bolts are cut and replaced.

A book like this earns its place by filling the gaps the great houses leave open: an unusual colour, or a weight they have passed over that season. When a Terio length ends up in a garment, it is usually because nothing else on the shelf answered the brief as well.

Every length that enters the library sits the same exam, whatever the name on the selvedge: it has to cut cleanly and hold its shape through a working week. A small house does not get an easier paper, and a famous one does not get marked up for its label.

Ask at a fitting and we will show you what is on the shelf this season.

The current book is best seen in person, laid over a shoulder in daylight.
