Coffee brown herringbone wool jacket at 385 grams to the metre, a heavy winter cloth with the diagonal grain of the herringbone weave, cut as a two-button jacket with a half canvas. A 0.6 cm topstitch runs down the outer sleeve seam to the cuff.
Brown herringbone is the cloth of the country jacket, and it belongs with grey flannel, cord and a roll neck, on the days a coat would be too much. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
