An unusually spare front on coffee brown trousers in a plain polyester, 210 grams to the metre: welted front pockets set into the seam rather than slanted, and a flat front with no pressed crease. From the front there is almost nothing to see, which is what makes them work under a soft jacket.
One welted back pocket, on the right, and none on the left. A 4 cm waistband closes on a single button without an extension. The colour is a deep, warm brown that sits well with cream and pale blue. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
