Black trousers in a 100% cotton cloth from Stylbiella. Plain black, with no pattern, dresses up or down with whatever is worn above it.
The waist is a Hollywood waist, cut in one with the trouser, with a grip tape inside the waistband to hold a shirt in place. Two pleats on each side fold toward the side seam, 2.5 cm deep, and the leg finishes in a 3.8 cm turn-up. Front pockets sit on a 3.2 cm slant, edged with a fine pick stitch that also runs along the side seams and the fly. The back pockets are double besom with a button. A French fly with a zip, standard belt loops and a V notch at the top of the centre-back seam finish it, and the trousers are unlined. Wear them with a white shirt in the evening or a grey knit at the office. Cut to your measurements, so the turn-up lands where you want it.
