Bamboo, wool and silk, blended at 280 grams to the metre, make these brown trousers. Bamboo fibre is cool and soft against the skin, the wool gives the cloth its body, the spandex gives it recovery and the silk a low sheen. The brown is a warm, medium tone.
A single pleat toward the side seam, 1.5 cm deep, with besom front pockets set into the seam. Half-lined at the front with the pocket bags outside the lining, and a V split at the back of the waist for later alteration. A 4.5 cm waistband and two open back pockets. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
