Cream trousers in a nylon and spandex cloth at 210 grams to the metre: light, quick to dry, and with enough stretch that the knee never binds. The cream is a warm off-white that does not glare the way a pure white can, and sits easily with olive, navy and tan.
These borrow from the jean rather than the suit trouser: square front pockets, plain back pockets, a regular waist with wide belt loops and a single button, and a 4.4 cm turn-up at the hem that gives the leg a finished stop. Trousers for travel and weekends. Cut to your measurements, so the turn-up lands where you want it.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
