Ivory cotton trousers in a heavy stretch cotton from Vercelli, 320 grams to the metre, cut with a single deep pleat of 3.8 cm toward the side seam. The pleat gives the front real ease and the weight of the cloth keeps the line straight below it. No pressed crease, so they are worn soft.
Front pockets slanted at 3.2 cm, back pockets finished with a fine edge stitch, and 2 cm belt loops. The Lycra in the cloth means the seat recovers after a day at a desk. Ivory is the warmer white and the easier one to wear with tan and navy. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
