Ivory, heavy, and for the cold months: a casual jacket in wool with linen and a little silk at 350 grams to the metre, when a pale jacket over a dark knit is the sharpest thing in the room. The weight gives it fall; the silk gives it a low light.
No chest canvas and an unpadded natural shoulder, so the heavy cloth does the shaping on its own. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
