Light green cotton shorts woven with a jacquard figure, a small tone-on-tone pattern that shows up close and reads as plain from a distance, in a stretch cotton at 185 grams to the metre. The colour is a pale, cool green that sits well with white and navy.
Flat front and a straight fly, with a 4 cm waistband that is elasticated and still closes on a button, so they sit right with or without a belt. Front pockets slanted at 3.2 cm, besom back pockets with a button, 5 cm hem. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
