Red overcoat in a very light wool and polyester cloth at 186 grams to the metre, with a 0.8 cm pick stitch along every seam. A red coat gets noticed whatever its weight; this one is a long, light layer for spring and autumn rather than a winter coat, worn open over navy or grey.
No chest canvas, so it hangs from the shoulders and moves with you. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
