Brown trousers in a nylon and spandex cloth, 210 grams to the metre, with the smooth, slightly technical hand that fibre gives. Light enough for a warm day, hard to crease, and dry in an hour. The brown is a mid tone, deeper than tan, that suits navy, cream and denim blue.
The cut is plain: flat front, no pressed crease, a 4 cm waistband closing on a hook without an extension, and front pockets slanted at 2.5 cm. The back pockets are welted and left without a button, so the seat stays clean. Trousers to travel in and forget about. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
