Light grey trousers in a wool, linen and silk blend at 280 grams to the metre. This is the classic summer suiting mix: wool for the fall, linen for the cool and a dry hand, silk for a little light on the surface. Light grey with white or pale blue is a summer uniform.
A single pleat toward the side seam, front pockets slanted at 3.2 cm, and besom back pockets with a button. Nothing more than a good trouser needs. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
