White trousers in a cotton cloth with a little polyester in the blend and a touch of elastane for some give at the knee and seat. The white is a true white rather than a cream, and it stays crisp beside navy, grey and tan.
A cargo trouser in a clean, flat-fronted cut, with no pressed crease. Each leg carries a patch pocket 8 cm below the front pocket, brought forward toward the front of the leg, under a pointed flap that buttons through a keyhole. At the back, double besom pockets sit under pointed flaps, each with a buttoned tab. The 4 cm waistband closes on one button with no extension, the belt loops are shaped and wider at the base, the trousers are unlined, and the hem is fixed with a 2.5 cm topstitch. Wear with a navy knit, or a plain tee and white leather sneakers. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
