Built for drape, these blue trousers are cut from a blend that is half cellulose fibre with wool, linen and a little silk, at 300 grams to the metre. It hangs like a heavy viscose and breathes like linen, with a low sheen from the silk. A cool-handed cloth in a clear mid blue.
Double pleats toward the side seam, 2 cm deep, with besom front pockets rather than slanted ones, so the front stays quiet. The trousers are half-lined at the front with the pocket bags outside the lining. A V split at the back of the waist makes later alteration simple. Straight fly, besom back pockets with a tab and button, 3.8 cm turn-up. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
