Coffee brown linen trousers at 205 grams to the metre, with the deepest pleats in the archive: double pleats toward the side seam, 3.2 cm each, which give the front a generous fall the linen then softens with wear. A brown linen trouser is the easiest thing to wear with a white or cream shirt in real heat.
Front pockets slanted at 2.5 cm, welted back pockets, a straight fly and a button waistband with no extension. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
