Silk and camel hair in a brown wool cloth, 320 grams to the metre: the silk brings a low sheen, the camel hair a softness, and a little spandex lets the knee bend without the cloth remembering it. A rich mid brown for the cold half of the year.
A single deep pleat toward the side seam, 4.4 cm, a narrow 3.5 cm waistband and a V split at the back of the waist for later alteration. Front pockets slanted at 3.2 cm, a welted watch pocket on the right, besom back pockets with a button, straight fly. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
