Brown does its best work next to blue: navy knits, denim shirts and mid-blue oxfords all sit naturally above it, and brown shoes stop being a decision. Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
