Green cotton shorts in a jacquard weave, 220 grams to the metre: a deeper green than the pale pair, in a heavier plain cotton with a figured surface that catches the light. Green shorts with a white shirt and tan shoes is a summer that has been thought about.
An elasticated 4 cm waistband that also closes on a button, flat front, straight fly, front pockets slanted at 3.2 cm, besom back pockets with a button and a 5 cm hem. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
