Navy trousers in a polyamide and spandex cloth at 167 grams to the metre. Navy hides what a light technical cloth might otherwise show, so these look like ordinary trousers and behave like sportswear: light, quick to dry, hard to crease.
The 4 cm waistband is elasticated and closes on a button without an extension, so they sit right with or without a belt. Flat front, straight fly, front pockets slanted at 3.2 cm, besom back pockets with a button, and a 5 cm hem. Navy over white or grey needs no more thought than that. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
