White wool trousers in cloth from Jorge Carli, 280 grams to the metre, cut in the fullest line the archive offers: double pleats toward the side seam at 4.4 cm, a 6 cm waistband and a 5.1 cm turn-up. White wool is opaque where white cotton is not, and hangs where cotton clings.
Back pockets sit under a wide diamond-shaped flap, and the fly is straight. A trouser for a summer wedding, a boat, or a navy blazer worn open. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
