Clé is one of the smaller houses in our cloth library, and we will be straight with you: it does not come with a founding date or a famous valley attached. What it comes with is cloth, in a book that changes with the seasons.

That turnover is part of the appeal. The big mills give us the backbone of the range, cloth we can reorder for years. The smaller houses keep the library moving, and what is on the shelf this season may not be there next. If a length catches your eye at a fitting, that is the time to claim it.

You will not find Clé on our product pages. The cloth is chosen at the table, laid over a shoulder in daylight against the brief in front of us, which is how cloth should be chosen anyway.

The bar for shelf space does not move for anyone. A small house earns its place the same way the famous ones do: the cloth has to make the garment better. Clé keeps earning it. If you want to see what is current, book a fitting and ask.
