Perfect Fit Guarantee

This Perfect Fit Guarantee is offered by THDR Australia Pty Ltd (ABN 25 648 030 237), trading as THEODORE ("we", "our" or "us"), and forms part of our Terms & Conditions and Returns & Warranty Policy. Where anything here differs from that policy, the Returns & Warranty Policy prevails. It applies to made-to-order garments purchased directly from us.

1. What we guarantee

Our garments are cut to your measurements. If a garment we made does not fit you as intended, we will put it right at our cost, in the manner we consider appropriate. That means, at our election and in this order of preference:

Remake. We remake the garment to corrected measurements in the same cloth, subject to cloth availability. Where the original cloth is no longer available we will offer the closest equivalent from our library.
Adjustment by us. We alter the garment ourselves, either in our Sydney studio or at an appointment.
Reimbursed local alterations. Where a remake or in-house adjustment is impractical, we reimburse reasonable alteration costs from a qualified tailor up to AUD $100 per garment, on production of a tax invoice. Alterations undertaken before you notify us and obtain our agreement are not reimbursable.

2. How to make a claim

Notify us at hello@thdr.co within 7 days of delivery, or during your pickup appointment where you collect in person. Your claim needs to include:

your order number;
a description of the fit issue; and
clear photographs of the garment worn, front, back and side, in good light.

Do not alter, wash or wear the garment further while a claim is open. We may ask you to attend a fitting, in person or by video, so we can assess the garment before deciding the remedy.

3. What the guarantee covers

This guarantee covers a garment that does not conform to the measurements and specifications recorded on your order, including our own measurement or production error.

4. What it does not cover

Changes in your body. Weight change, muscle gain or loss, pregnancy or other changes in your measurements after your measurements were taken.
Change of mind. A preference for a different cut, silhouette, cloth, colour or styling detail than the one you approved. Made-to-order garments cannot be returned for change of mind.
Inaccurate self-measurement. Where you supplied your own measurements, or declined a fitting, and those measurements prove inaccurate. We will still help, but any remake in these circumstances may be chargeable.
Third-party alterations. Any garment altered by another tailor without our prior written agreement.
Wear, damage and care. Normal wear, shrinkage or damage from laundering, dry cleaning or storage contrary to the care instructions.
Claims outside the window. Claims made more than 7 days after delivery may be declined to the extent the delay prevents us from properly assessing the garment.

5. Limits

This guarantee applies to one remake or adjustment cycle per garment. It is available to the original purchaser only and is not transferable. It does not apply to stocked ready-to-wear items, which are covered by our Returns & Warranty Policy, and it operates alongside rather than in place of the 90-day limited warranty on defects in materials and workmanship set out in that policy. Our total liability under this guarantee will not exceed the price you paid for the garment.

6. Your statutory rights

Nothing in this guarantee excludes, restricts or modifies any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that cannot lawfully be excluded. This guarantee is offered in addition to those rights. Where the Australian Consumer Law applies and a failure is major, you may have rights to a replacement or refund; where a failure is not major, we may choose to repair, replace or refund.

7. Changes

We may vary this guarantee at any time by publishing an updated version on our website. The version in force at the time of your order applies to that order.
