Dino Filarte
Suitings and linen blends
Dino Filarte is one of the quieter names in our cloth library. The label arrives without a heritage brochure, and we count that in its favour: the money has gone into the cloth, which argues its own case at the fitting.
What the house does well is suiting with a light hand that still takes structure. The lengths give a canvas something to hold onto without needing weight to do it, which is exactly what Australian weather asks of a tailored garment.
Pinstripes are where we use it most. The Greenwich Pinstripe Suit and the Wall Street Charcoal Pinstripe Suit are both cut from Dino Filarte cloth. A stripe is unforgiving: it shows every lazy seam and any give in the weave, so a cloth that keeps its face here has earned the job.
The book also runs to linen blends. Our Blue Linen Blend Jacket is cut from one: it keeps linen's dry handle and texture while the blend pulls the crumple back to something civilised.
The label lives quietly in our book rather than in a press kit. Ask to see the current lengths when you sit down with us.
