Cashmere and noble fibres

Piacenza has spun and woven noble fibre in Pollone, near Biella, since 1733, when Pietro Francesco Piacenza established the mill. It is one of the oldest names in the trade, and it has never left the family: the founder's descendants still own and run it, and the firm belongs to the Henokiens, an association reserved for companies that have stayed family-owned for two centuries or more.

Today the house trades as Piacenza 1733, formerly Piacenza Cashmere, and the older name tells you where its heart is. The mill works extra-fine wools and noble fibres, with cashmere as the signature: jacketings and coatings that carry real warmth at very little weight.

That combination is what you feel on the shoulders. A Piacenza overcoat insulates the way a heavy coat does without asking you to carry the kilograms, and a cashmere jacket drapes softly rather than standing away from the body.
