Wool and linen at 270 grams to the metre, in a coffee brown check, as a casual jacket. The check is tonal, browns on brown, and the linen roughens the surface just enough that it reads as a country cloth rather than a suiting. A short rounded baseball collar keeps it casual.
No chest canvas and an unpadded natural shoulder, so it wears like a heavy overshirt. Over cream trousers or the archive's khaki, with a white tee. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
