Teal cotton polo at 200 grams to the metre, with 5% spandex for a little stretch. The teal is light and dusty, blue and green in equal measure and softened with grey, so it is quieter than the word suggests. It sits easily with navy, white and stone.
The collar is cut in one piece, with no separate stand, above a short pullover placket 2.8 cm wide that closes on a single button 1 cm below the neckline. The placket edges are turned back 1.5 cm on each side, and left unbuttoned the neck opens into a V. Collar and placket are interfaced and edge-stitched. The short sleeves end in a 2.5 cm turned hem, and the body in a straight 2 cm hem with no side vents, finished with a double row of stitching. There is no pocket and no back yoke. Wear it open with linen trousers in summer, or buttoned under a cotton jacket. Cut to your measurements.
