Dark coffee trousers in a blend of polyester, Tencel and cotton, 237 grams to the metre. The Tencel gives the cloth a cool, fluid hand and the polyester keeps it from creasing, so these come out of a suitcase looking much as they went in. The colour is a brown so deep it reads almost black indoors.
Flat front with no pressed crease, so they hang softly. Metal zip behind a straight fly, waistband on a single button with no extension, front pockets slanted at 3.2 cm, besom back pockets with a button, and a fixed hem topstitched at 2 cm. Wear them with cream, sand or a pale blue shirt. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
