Khaki cotton jacket at 310 grams to the metre, a heavy cotton with regenerated cellulose fibre for drape and a little spandex for give, cut as a two-button jacket with a half canvas. The canvas gives the chest and lapel a shape that a wholly unstructured jacket cannot hold, while the cotton keeps it casual.
A wide 0.6 cm topstitch runs down the outer sleeve seam to the cuff, the one visible flourish. Khaki cotton over a white shirt and the archive's navy trousers. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
