Polyamide, cotton and elastane at 182 grams to the metre make these navy trousers: the cotton gives it a natural hand, the polyamide keeps it light and quick-drying, the elastane lets it move. The back pockets are welted and close on a zip, which is the detail of a trouser meant for travel.
Flat front, no pressed crease, belt loops, a metal zip behind a straight fly and a button waistband with no extension. Fixed hem topstitched at 2.5 cm. Navy for planes, trains and the days between. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
