Six buttons closing high on an olive jacket, an army green, in a light wool and polyester cloth at 186 grams to the metre. Six buttons take a jacket most of the way to a field coat, and the weight keeps it a layer for spring and autumn rather than a coat for winter.
No chest canvas and an unpadded natural shoulder, so it sits soft over a shirt or a tee. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
