Sage wool trousers at 310 grams to the metre with a little spandex: a grey-green that reads as a neutral in the way olive does, but softer and paler. It is a good colour for the shoulder seasons, worn with cream, navy or dark brown.
The cut is the wider, higher one: double pleats toward the side seam at 2.5 cm, a 6 cm waistband, and back pockets under a wide diamond-shaped flap. Straight fly. Trousers that want a soft jacket and a plain shoe. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
