Coffee brown check trousers in a wool and silk cloth from Marzotto, 275 grams to the metre. With silk at over forty percent the cloth has a soft, dry lustre and a fine drape, and the check is a tonal one that reads as depth rather than pattern. A trouser to wear with a plain jacket in cream or navy.
A single pleat toward the side seam, 1.5 cm deep, front pockets slanted at 3.2 cm, a welted watch pocket on the right and besom back pockets with a button. A narrow 3.5 cm waistband with a V split at the back for later alteration. Straight fly. Cut to your measurements.

Steam rather than wash, and press under a cloth. Rest it a day between wears on a shaped hanger. Dry-clean sparingly; once or twice a season is plenty.
