Taupe trousers in wool with silk and linen, a blend for warmer weather. The taupe is pale and warm, somewhere between stone and light grey, and it moves easily between navy, white and brown. Wool gives the cloth its body, silk a low sheen and linen a drier hand, and together they drape rather than sit stiff.
Each side carries two pleats, a box pleat and a second pleat folding toward the side seam, 4.4 cm deep. They give room through the thigh above a wide leg finished with 3.2 cm turn-ups. The waistband is a tall 5 cm with no belt loops, so the line stays clean under a jacket or with a shirt tucked in. Wear them with a navy or cream jacket and brown suede shoes. Cut to your measurements.
